Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) Makes You Faster
Traxxas Stability Management® (TSM) lets you experience all the extreme power, speed, and acceleration that was engineered into your Traxxas model by making it much easier to control on slippery surfaces such as loose dirt, smooth concrete, and even ice and snow. Go ahead, punch it off the line! TSM senses the vehicle’s direction and makes steering corrections to provide straight-ahead full-throttle acceleration without fishtailing or spinouts. When cornering, TSM intuitively corrects the vehicle’s line for faster exit speeds. TSM also improves braking by keeping the vehicle arrow straight until you reach a complete stop.
No Unwanted Side Effects or Disconnected Feel
TSM lets you enjoy all the benefits modern electronic stabilization without intruding on your driving fun or introducing unwanted side effects. Traxxas engineers developed superior tuning algorithms that run on high-speed, precision electronic components to create a system that works invisibly, in the background, without ever limiting your throttle. TSM delivers sharp and precise reactions, rather than a dull, disconnected feel. TSM can be fine-tuned (or turned off) for different surfaces by adjusting the multi-function knob on the TQi transmitter, or by adjusting the slider in the Traxxas link app. Drive faster, with more ease, and have more fun! In fact, you may not even realize how much TSM is helping you until you try to drive without it!
How Does TSM Work?
TSM lives in the receiver and works with TQi transmitters equipped with a Multi-Function knob. It does not require any additional setup or configuration from the driver. The Multi-Function knob adjusts the amount of assistance provided by TSM. More assistance tightens the control, virtually eliminating fishtailing and sliding. Less assistance allows the vehicle to be more loose for controlled power slides and “steering” with the throttle. TSM never restricts throttle input. The driver always has complete control of the power. TSM can easily be turned off by simply turning the multi-function knob counterclockwise to its stop. TSM can also be adjusted in the Traxxas Link application. The control icon is in the “Garage” in Traxxas Link and also the Drive Effects screen. Each model has a specific software load, custom tuned to the model. Traxxas Link remembers TSM setting when the driver uses the same transmitter and switches between various models equipped with TSM.

Have extra tires on hand!
While our mission at Traxxas is to build our vehicles tough to resist breakage and wear, if you like to pull the throttle trigger hard and often, expect some increased tire wear. Normally, without TSM, it can be difficult to hold full throttle for extended lengths of time, particularly when the vehicle is configured with brushless power and 3S LiPo batteries. Drivers naturally tend to back off the throttle to maintain control, which reduces tire wear. However, TSM opens the door for full throttle acceleration on practically any surface and simply-put, if you like to lay down the rubber, the tires don’t stand a chance. Keep an extra set handy, particularly if you’re driving on asphalt and concrete.

TSM on Other Traxxas Models
TSM is not just for land vehicles. It can be found in the Spartan and DCB M41 boats, making turning and full-throttle acceleration easier and more fun. Installation is possible on other Traxxas models using a TQi radio system with the Multi-Function knob and the Wireless Module (#6511). Connectivity to the Traxxas Link App (iOS or Android version) is also required in order to update the receiver with vehicle-specific firmware. Upgrading from non-TQi transmitters is easy using the Traxxas Power-Up Program.
